Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
The short version
Paddle Conditions provides weather, water, and scoring data to help paddlers plan sessions. Use it at your own judgment. We do our best to keep data accurate but can't guarantee it. Don't rely on it as your sole safety source.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Paddle Conditions web app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
Paddle Conditions aggregates publicly available weather, water quality, and environmental data from sources including NOAA, USGS, NWS, CDEC, and Open-Meteo. We score and present this data to help you decide when and where to paddle. The service is provided as-is.
Accounts
You can create an account with email/password or sign in with Google or Apple. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
Premium subscriptions
Premium features require a paid subscription managed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Reach out if you have billing questions.
Your data
You own your data. Your saved locations and preferences are yours. If you delete your account, we delete your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
Safety disclaimer
Paddle Conditions is a planning tool, not a safety system. Conditions on the water can change rapidly and may differ from forecasted data. Always check local conditions, follow posted warnings, wear appropriate safety gear, and use your own judgment before going out. We are not liable for decisions made based on data shown in the app.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but can't guarantee 100% uptime. Data sources are third-party government APIs that may have outages outside our control. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be noted in our changelog. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
